I know math! Well actually I’m relearning math I knew and learning math I don’t know. Why? Two simple reasons.

- Some of my ESL students need to take the GED exam as a step to apply to college. Then, they need to take the SAT exam.
- My Korean adult students tell me that their children are at least one grade ahead in math. A fifth grade Korean student knows math that a sixth grade American student studies. My students send their children to after-school math programs to help them keep their math advantage. My entrepreneurial spirit tells me that I may have found a business opportunity.

I’m in the process of creating IKnowMath, a site that will offer free resources to help students learn math, see how math is used in the real world, and read about interesting mathematicians. The site’s goal is to teach students the power and beauty of math.

I’m interested in communicating with people who also share this goal.
